Chronomancer - Map

I created the map system with UMG for Chronomancer using two materials, one as a texture for the map while the other uses a render target to create an opacity mask that is then layered over the map to reveal as the player explores. Panning and zooming is done via a material parameter collection which is also used to make the minimap follow the player. The mask layer is a separate widget from the map texture so that icons for points of interest can be rendered between the two.
This has helped to diversify my portfolio since I learned to do more with both UMG and materials whilst creating this.
