Chronomancer - Level Design With Abilities In Mind

Designing the level after prototyping the abilities was helpful in designing the level around those abilities as it meant I knew exactly how they were going to work. More importantly however I had to be mindful of what abilities the player would have access to at certain points. I created different uses for the different abilities to break up repetition, such as the moving platforms, walls and trigger switches that have to be slowed down with the time slow bomb.
I had not worked on a game with unlockable abilities before so this was a useful experience that has improved my level design skills.
